basketball, game played between two teams of five players each on a rectangular court, usually indoors. Each team tries to score by tossing the ball through the opponent’s goal, an elevated horizontal hoop and net called a basket.
Each team has a 15 man roster during the season and a 20 man roster off season. On the court each team is allowed 5 players.
Fouls: Fouls are illegal personal contact or unsportsmanlike conduct on the court or sidelines of a game. Most player fouls involve contact that impedes an opposing player's gameplay and are one of the most important parts in basketball. Each player on the court is allowed 6 fouls before being ejected from the game. Fouls are important becuase it keeps the game fair as well as "clean". Players who are fouled are either given possetion of ball or given a bonus of either 1 to 3 free throw
Dribbling is one of the most essential parts in baskett ball, it keeps the game moving while also moving the ball across the court. There are rules when it comes to dribbling.
